Parent Support

Are you at the end of your rope?

Nicole is weary. She’s not just tired from a long day, but she’s worn out from trying to help her struggling child.

Matthew knows he needs to be patient with his son, but finds his fuse is shorter all the time. He has a clear vision of being a good dad, but this is not it.

Ashley wants a different childhood for her kids than she had herself. But making this a reality is harder than she thought.

Even committed, competent parents need help sometimes.

I see parents with challenging children, challenging backgrounds, challenging circumstances. So many things can get in the way of being the parents we want to be.

I help parents make conscious choices about how to respond to their children’s behavior.

We problem-solve and experiment with new reactions. And we consider what gets in the way of acting the way we want to act with our kids.

As parents, we’re in the job for the long haul.

So, it’s important to find out what keeps us going.

Caring for parents and helping them develop new strategies for coping with their own, and their children’s, emotions and behavior is one of my favorite ways to help families.

Now, Nicole has ways to replenish her energy and come to parenting with a fresh outlook.

Matthew brings new tools to difficult situations with his son and finds this makes a difference in how the scene turns out.

Ashley has worked through some past experiences and is able to provide a more supportive home for her children.
